A day of a self employed / Ein Tag im Leben eines selbständig Erwerbenden

Hi everyone,
have you ever wondered what it is like to be self employed? I am sure some of you know very well, since I am sure I am not the only self employed person on this blog.
Wouldn't you agree that in many ways it is very rewarding? I mean, sure, you gotta discipline yourself to work even longer hours, even more weekends, but in the end you know what it is for. I am not trying to say hereby that all people not being self employed are unhappy with their jobs, in fact, many people are able to find a job that makes them happy.
Being self employed means also not knowing at the end of the month if sufficient money was made to cover all the bills. I am in the lucky situation that my wife works in a "real" job and we are able to meet needs end.
By now you might wonder what kind of a job I do as a self employed. Well, we are in the music business and have just launched our new mail order website, which is to be found at devianthead.com
Up until recently we have basically done wholesale only, but since that proved to be not the ideal decision we did a lot of rethinking, and decided to start a retail mail order site.
We focus on music of any kind from the underground, meaning mainly punk Rock, hardcore, extreme metal, psychobilly, industrial, goth and so on.
The website will have constantly more and more titles up since we strive to offer the customers not only a friendly and good service, but also a great selection that shall enable them to find as many releases as possible from labels all around the world.
Yes, it is a lot of work, some people would for sure say it wouldn't be worth their time considering how much money you end up earning for all the time and work, but let me tell you, I do enjoy it a lot.
Well, that is about all I wanted to say for today, since you might have guessed, I do have more work to do.

Hallo allerseits,
so, habt Ihr euch jemals schon gefragt wie das so ist wenn man als selbständig Erwerbender tätig ist? Aber ja doch werden die einen sagen, schlussendlich bin ich mir sicher, dass ich hier nicht der einzige bin der selbständig tätig ist.
Als ganz wichtig betrachte ich es, dass mir eine selbständige Tätigkeit vielleicht finanziell nicht das gibt was ein Job bei einer Firma wiederum tun würde, aber in persönlicher Hinsicht gibt mir die Sache einfach viel mehr. Nun, ich muss auch sagen, dass ich mich glücklich schätzen kann, dass meine Ehefrau in "einem" echten Job tätig ist, und wir somit auch in der Lage sind so zu leben und zu überleben.
Nun fragt ihr euch wohl was ich denn so mache in meiner Selbständigkeit. Wir sind in der Musik Branche tätig und haben soeben unseren neuen Mail Order aufgeschaltet. Schaut doch einfach nach unter

Bis vor kurzem noch machten wir eigentlich nur Grosshandel, aber nachdem sich das als nicht so die ideale Lösung heraus gestellt hatte, entschieden wir uns für den Einzelhandel im Internet.
Wir spezialisieren uns auf Musik jeglicher Stilrichtung aus dem Underground und führen Titel aus den Bereichen Punk Rock, Hardcore, Extreme Metal, Psychobilly, Industrial und so weiter.
Die Website wird in der nahen, wie auch ferner Zukunft ständig wachsen, denn nicht nur wollen wir euch einen freundlichen und guten Service bieten, sondern auch ein gutes Angebot mit Titeln auf Labels aus aller Welt.
Stimmt, das ist sehr viel Arbeit, manche würden auch sagen, dass es Ihre Zeit und ihre Anstrengungen nicht Wert wäre für das was im Endeffekt heraus springt, doch ich mache es noch so gerne.
So, das wär's auch schon für heute, denn ihr habt es erraten, ich hab noch zu tun.
